Why Ask Yourself These Significant Questions in Life?

The weekend is almost over, so take some time out and answer some completely pointless questions!!

How much does getting old bother you?
What year of your life did you waste?
How do you choose what books to read?
What news story has made your blood boil this week?
Have you ever broken a window?
Do you forgive and forget?
Gay rights – discuss?
Have your parents ever been disappointed in you?
When did you last travel by train?

Do you think you’re a kind person? How much does getting old bother you?
Not at all, but I’m 21 so I’m enjoying all the things that come with getting older at the moment.

What year of your life did you waste?
Definitely 2012 when I did a year of an adult nursing degree – I dropped out at the end of my first year, and I had to take a further year out because it was too late to apply for another course. I was a little overwhelmed by motherhood, but I have no regrets because I learned a lot during my nursing year, but I wish I’d stood my ground with my parents more so I could do the degree I wanted to do straight after school.

How do you choose what books to read?
I check reviews in magazines and get recommendations from my friends. Occasionally I go for an attractive cover but I’ve stopped doing that recently as it often only affirmed my idea of low expectations.

What news story has made your blood boil this week?
The government making horrendous cuts in various sectors taking our country right back to the 1960’s when the same thing happened then and everything went to shit. Shame on Trump and the rest of his clique.

Have you ever broken a window?
Unfortunately, I have. When I was a teenager I tried climbing through the lounge window, but because I was, erm, very overweight at that point in my life I snapped the frame. I actually begged my mum not to tell my dad, and to this day he still doesn’t know it was me.

Do you forgive and forget?
Rarely. I forgive very easily but I never forget. And one of my big weaknesses is bringing up previous arguments when I fight with my friends. I don’t know why I feel that previous arguments will be relevant but I do it anyway. Having said that, sometimes my friends do the same so it’s not just me!

Gay rights – discuss?
What is there to discuss? They should have the same rights as anybody else. This also applies to women, Hispanics, children, blacks, refugees, Jews, Muslims, or whatever you could think of. No discussion whatsoever..the sheer thought!

Have your parents ever been disappointed in you?
Isn’t that the worst thing ever? They’re not angry, they’re disappointed. I don’t think I’ve ever had those words said to me by my parents but lots of my friends have. So the answer is no, they’ve been pissed off at me many a time though…

When did you last travel by train?
Sunday when I headed up to Boston for the night – I’m always traveling by train if possible! But for my work, I have to travel frequently and by train is not always an option.

Do you think you’re a kind person?
I’m not sure – sometimes I’m very kind and would do anything for anyone, but sometimes I’m a complete bitch and don’t try to disguise it. It depends who you are and what mood I’m in.
